Swish
Project Scope
Brand. Graphic Design. Print. Uniforms.
The Brief
Swish of the curtain is a theatre school for 2 -20 year olds in Dorset. The name was already existing as it came from the children’s novel by Pamela Brown. Owners Tina & Chris Witham approached us to re-brand their theatre school which had already been in existence for around 10 years.
Commonly known as ‘Swish’ we tried to create a brand with energy and enthusiasm that would reflect the students in the school. The identity had to be designed and implemented across the whole business and be versatile enough to work across print, digital, signage and to create branded uniforms. It had to be fun and engaging for the youngest students but also contemporary enough for the older actors and actresses and dancers to wear with pride.
The Solution
The brand was created around a ‘signature’ hand made typeface. The idea was that a signature has integrity and personality and it reflected the values of the brand.
The new visual language was used across the whole business from the printed prospectus, the stationery for business and marketing. The website and digital marketing and also to create Swish uniforms for all the students in the Company.
